If your browser or Windows shows a warning
TreeSimplifier is new and not code-signed yet, so browsers and Windows may treat the installer as an unfamiliar file. Microsoft Defender has reviewed and cleared this release.
- Chrome ("Suspicious download blocked"): open the downloads list (Ctrl+J), click the file and choose to download it anyway.
- Edge ("isn't commonly downloaded"): in the downloads list click … → Keep → Show more → Keep anyway.
- Windows ("Windows protected your PC"): click More info, then Run anyway.
Verify the download (optional)
The SHA-256 is the installer's fingerprint: if a single byte of the file were different, it would not match. To check your copy, open PowerShell in the folder where you saved it, run Get-FileHash TreeSimplifier-1.0-beta-1-setup.exe and compare the result with:

You can also see the file's VirusTotal report, the result of about seventy antivirus engines. A few lesser-known engines may flag new, unsigned installers.
